Driven by her desire to protect and defend others, Me Dana became a lawyer and member of the Quebec Bar in 2006.

She specializes in matters of Family Law and Civil Law (see Areas of Expertise for more information), whether contested or amicable, and represents clients before the Court of Quebec, Superior Court, and administrative tribunals such as the Rental Board. She regularly attends conferences in the areas of Family Law and Civil Law, to ensure that she is up-to-date on the latest legal and jurisprudential developments.

Me Dana takes the time to listen to her clients’ concerns, and to provide them with the attention and information they need in order to understand the issues at hand and thus make an enlightened decision about the most sensible, appropriate and cost-effective strategy to adopt in their file. A legal suit can be intimidating, and Me Dana guides her clients through this process, explaining to them every step along the way so that they feel more at ease.

An amicable resolution to a dispute is always preferable to a trial, and Me Dana negotiates with the other party whenever possible in order to obtain a fair and just settlement for her clients. She is honest and ethical, and always conducts herself professionally and courteously with opposing counsel, as she believes strongly that it can only reflect positively on the outcome of the case for all parties involved.

Some topics Me Dana has dealt with in her files include lack of peaceful enjoyment of the dwelling by a tenant, access rights for grandparents, child support for children over 18, defamation, alimony for a spouse unable to work due to an illness, homologation of a mandate in anticipation of incapacity, respect of a student’s civil liberties as per the Charters, and separation between common law partners.
